ICC Rankings: KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya retain gap between Mohammad Rizwan and Suryakumar Yadav
In the ICC T20 batting rankings, Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan now has 861 rating points. India’s star batsman Suryakumar Yadav now has 838 rating points.
ICC T20 Rankings: Indian cricket team’s star batsman Suryakumar Yadav has retained his second position in the ICC Men’s T20 Batting Rankings. Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan also remained at the top. However, the gap (of rating points) between Rizwan and Suryakumar Yadav has widened. This has reduced Suryakumar Yadav’s chances of reaching the top. Talking about Indian players in the ICC rankings, there is no change in the rankings of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya.

Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan now has 861 rating points. He had a great run during the tri-nation (Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh) series in New Zealand. Suryakumar Yadav now has 838 rating points. He will go into the India-Pakistan match at the MCG on Sunday, October 23, as the second T20 best batsman in the world.

Kl Rahul (13), Virat Kohli (15) and skipper Rohit Sharma (16) retained their respective positions in the latest ICC T20 batting rankings. Pakistan captain Babar Azam remained third ahead of South Africa’s Aiden Markram and New Zealand’s Devon Conway. The only change in the top 10 has been in the ranking of New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips. Phillips has moved up 13 places to 10th position on the back of his performance in the tri-series against Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Hardik Pandya remained static at the sixth spot in the all-rounders’ rankings with 173 rating points. Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan will go into the T20 World Cup as the top all-rounder. He removed Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi from the top spot. Shakib Al Hasan grabbed the top spot on the back of impressive performances in the tri-series against New Zealand and Pakistan. The veteran Bangladesh cricketer scored back-to-back half-centuries during Bangladesh’s last two matches.
There hasn’t been much change inside the top 10 in the T20 bowling rankings. Afghanistan spinner Mujibur Rahman (up two places to fifth) and South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj (up one place to eighth) have moved up. Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood (705 rating points) has maintained the lead at the top of the bowling rankings.
Josh Hazlewood is followed by Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan (696 points), Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga (692) and South Africa’s veteran Tabraiz Shamsi (688). India’s trio of Bhuvneshwar kumar Ravichandran Ashwin and Axar Patel are placed 12th, 22nd and 23rd respectively.
