  • Collect the complete worship material required for Karva Chauth.
  • After taking bath in the morning on the day of the fast, start the fast of Karva Chauth by saying this resolution, ‘Mum, happiness, good fortune, son-grandson, Susthira Shri Pratye kar Chaturthi Vratmahan Karishye.’
    *Nirjala fasting for the whole day.
  • Make a panel out of ocher on the wall and paint it with a solution of ground rice. The art of painting is called Karva Dharana.

  • Worship Gauri Ganesh and pray for husband’s long life.
  • Read the story of Chauth Mata with grains of rice in hand.
  • After listening to the story, rotate the Karve and get it done by touching the feet of mother-in-law and give it to them.

  • After this, take blessings from the husband, feed him and eat food himself.
