Bowling all-rounders Curtis Camper and George Dockrell played an important role in his victory. The duo shared a 63-ball 119-run stand for the 5th wicket to snatch victory from Scotland’s jaws.
In the match played at the Bellerive Oval ground in Hobart, Scotland won the toss and elected to bat. He scored 176 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing the target, Ireland won the match by scoring 180 runs for 4 wickets in 19 overs.
Curtis Camper scored an unbeaten 72 off 32 balls with the help of 7 fours and 2 sixes. He completed his half-century in 25 balls. George Dockrell scored an unbeaten 39 off 27 balls with the help of 4 fours and a six. At one stage, Ireland were 61 for 4 in 9.3 overs. He had to score 116 runs in 10.3 overs, which was not easy at all, but Curtis and George Dockrell made it possible.
